Notice is hereby given that the third Community Visioning Workshop held by the Town of Dundee and facilitated by the Central Florida Regional Planning Council will occur on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., at the Dundee Community Center, 603 Lake Marie Boulevard, Dundee, Florida. The Downtown Dundee visioning process includes the determination of the boundaries of the Downtown area and the development of a community-guided vision and strategic plan for that area that will define actions for the Town of Dundee and other partners to undertake over the next 10 years and beyond.
The goal of this workshop is to obtain input on key concepts for the Downtown Vision Plan, finalize the vision statement, and prioritize projects that were identified at the first two workshops held earlier this year. The workshop is open to the general public and all interested persons are encouraged to attend.
The strategic visioning and planning process for the Downtown Area of Dundee will provide a unified direction in promoting economic development and achieving the community’s goals for the Town’s future. Completion of the process includes development of the vision plan. The Visioning process is anticipated to result in a community based vision and action plan for downtown. The Downtown Vision Plan is a key part of implementing a long-term plan to promote economic development in the community.
The Town of Dundee was awarded a Community Planning Technical Assistance Planning Grant by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity which assisted in funding the Downtown Vision Plan.
