Position Open: Senior Planner

The CFRPC seeks a Senior Planner to work with local governments to perform a variety of planning and zoning functions including land development review, special projects (community visioning, economic development, etc.), and GIS mapping and analyses. Work also includes a variety of planning, analytical and research functions in comprehensive planning and zoning. Attendance and presentations at evening hearings and meetings and Saturday morning community workshops is required from time to time.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have a minimum of four years of experience in planning. Such experience would include preparing and reviewing comprehensive plans including Future Land Use Map amendments, rezonings, variance requests, and site development plans. Proficiency in GIS mapping and analyses using ESRI software is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in planning, business/public administration, community development, or other related fields from an accredited college or university. Related Master’s Degree and AICP certification preferred. An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience can be substituted. Competitive salary and full benefits package.
