The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is the, federally required, long range (25 years) transportation vision to guide the effective investment of funds for all types of travel (driving, biking, walking, public transportation, and freight movement) throughout Polk County.  The 2035 Mobility Vision Plan is the current LRTP, adopted on December 7, 2010.

The Polk TPO updates the LRTP every five years to ensure it evolves with changes in the social, demographic, and economic characteristics of the community.  The next edition of the LRTP is called Momentum 2040. The Polk TPO is currently in the process of updating the LRTP.  Information related to the update can be found below.
