Property History
Resthaven Assisted Living Facility

Built in 1920, the 12,000-square-foot building was originally operated as the Lemon Grove Schoolhouse and later transformed into Resthaven—an assisted living facility providing round-the-clock care, especially for those with memory-related needs.

After struggling financially for years, Resthaven ceased operations at the end of 2022. Attempts to market the county-owned facility to other assisted living operators were not successful due to the economics of the needed repairs and upgrades. As a result, local government authorized beginning the process of seeking alternatives which include selling the property.
